PAS - Passenger Counting
Overview
The 21st Century passenger counting system provides counting of boarding and alighting passengers, to enable stage by stage reporting of passenger volumes and more accurate vehicle management.
On every vehicle, a camera housing is located above each entry/exit point. A camera is located inside the housing and is connected to the intelligent 21st Century PAS controller.
The PAS controller provides a pulse recording passengers boarding and alighting, which can be paired with a reference for date/time, GPS location, route and stage to provide a full passenger counting system.
