21st Century makes four new appointments
19 May 2009
21st Century, the UK's largest provider of wireless CCTV for passenger transport applications, has appointed four new members of staff in account management and new product development roles. The company is investing in the vehicle technology industry and the new appointments support the growth the company has seen over recent months, which is forecast to continue.
The first new appointment is the promotion of Michael Rutherford to the new position of Account Manager in support of the company's exclusive Arriva contract. The majority of Arriva's 7,000 buses are fitted with 21st Century CCTV and Michael will focus on delivering the highest level of professional service, with national responsibility for maintaining customer satisfaction within Arriva's regional operating companies.
In the second of the newly created roles, Peter Gowan has been appointed as Project Manager from Parkeon for 21st Century's ECOManager - the new fuel saving technology-based product which launched last year and is being fitted to all new Arriva buses delivered in 2009 and to a further 1,800 existing buses following a successful trial. Peter's responsibilities include the development of the software interface between ECOManager and the Arriva ticket machines.
Milton Worm is the third new appointment at 21st Century, as Technical Sales Manager with responsibility for ensuring that the increasingly technical products meet with customer requirements. Milton brings over fifteen years of CCTV industry experience. He will be responsible for developing solutions that meet functional specifications requested by customers, as well as supporting the sales team and customers to help bring new products to the marketplace.
Finally, David Cazaly brings over twenty years' experience to 21st Century as Product Development Manager. His main role is to help 21st Century maintain their market position and to explore opportunities to streamline and improve the 21st Century product range in a way that complements the existing technical products and provides a better quality of service to customers.
The four new appointments bring with them over 60 years of specialist industry experience.
David Dent, Managing Director for 21st Century, comments: "We are delighted to welcome Michael, Peter, Milton and David to the growing 21st Century team. All four appointments are for newly created positions which confirms how popular our products have become and clearly demonstrates our commitment and investment in 21st Century's future. We are sure our customers will very quickly reap the benefits of their experience and expertise."
