ECOManager
ECOManager is a fleet management tool which aims to improve driver safety as well as saving operators money by minimising fuel and maintenance costs.
Overview
ECOManager uses data which is gathered from the FMS-standard subset of CAN (including distance travelled, MPG and over-revving), to report on driver standards when compared with an assessor driving the same route. Data from the vehicle is combined with data from the ticket machine so the reporting can include driver and vehicle id, route and stage.
All driver, route and vehicle data is automatically transferred to the depot through ECOManager and the 21st Century ProGuard CCTV system, providing a fully automatic daily report of the quality of drivers on a daily basis. This can be used to advise and re-train drivers to more economic methods.
The in-cab LED provides instant and continuous feedback to the driver based on the fuelling condition, RPM and pedal position. This has been proven in tests to be the most effective way to instantly correct driver behaviour.
